Because my copy is also legit - but I had the problems already described, and success with the workaround also described.

i was only making "legit" caps because the trainer at the time was labeled "retail\no-cd"

So, it is safer to enable Trainer once in actual gameplay and not when on Menu? Also, if game crashes after saving and quitting game (with Trainer active), will save be gone? Thoughts appreciated

I recommend it, seems to work better anyway.
I'm guess like PWizard said before about anti cheat system being in the game that during the loading screen it checks for injected code, because it crashes when you exit the game back to the menu with the trainer activate.


Bought my copy from GMG, which is a Uplay version.
But mine's also the Deluxe (Gold) version of the game, so I don't know if that makes any difference or not.

Will my save be lost if game crashes when going back to menu after a game session?

Not that I've come across.
The game saves first, then exits.
