Don't know about your particular pc setup or OS, but did you try with admin. rights on both the game "exe(s)" and/or the trainer(s)?

It's a known fact: using the OS the game was made for is the best, as Fallout 3 on XP, same thing for trainers.

Well, good generic questions. Windows 7 and yes I tried using Run as admin. And since both of the Trainers info say we should start them first before the game, then how i run the game should be moot.

But just in case, they were run as admin as well and the trainers still gave the same issue if I started them before or after I launched the game.

So where do I request can someone update the trainers to current time period and make them Win7 Friendly or better?

Yes, I think this could go into "Trainer Request", even if the Fallout series include several cheats:

To bring up the cheats console during gameplay, hit the tilde (~) key.
Then, insert the cheat listed below on the left for the corresponding result on the right.

Any other thoughts on why the trainers would keep crashing?

Also thank you for the console information, I may end up using them. I just preferred the trainers, less work & I am lazy

As far as updating the previous trainers go... Are you sure I should use the Trainer Request? I only ask, because of the line that says:

"This form should not be used to request an update to an existing trainer or for a different version of an existing trainer. The official trainer thread on the message board for that title is the appropriate place for those kinds of requests."

Or am I looking at the wrong area?

As I said before, I just think with the future release of Fallout 4, it would be beneficial to this site as well, if the previous Trainers for Fallout 3 and New Vegas were updated to work easier with todays PC's and OS's. So many peeps are going to want to replay the older titles in prep for the new.

If the game run.

If the trainer run.

If the trainer "cannot find game", the problem is the version of the game/trainer that doesn't match.

Yes this is the place to ask, but if you need faster results PM is the key, either PWizard or Caliber, they'll give you the correct time/weather.
