The trainer for version 1.6 is a winner

Don't think they changed the LordsOfTheFallen.exe, it still 45.9 MB and last modified 02/03/2015 6:45 AM.

Something else must interfere in your setup

yes the only file updated with the v1.6 patch was the bin\PhysX3Gpu_x64.dll.

and the v1.5 trainer still works 100%

The infinite health option is not working well. At times it decreases and then the bar fills up again, but with some enemies, like bosses, it ends, the character dies and the game crashes, then i have to exit the game to play again. Other options working fine.

I am using steam retail version of this and the trainer does not work has it should. Any advice or suggestion will helpful.

"does not work as it should" tell us nothing so you will receive the generic response.

it may be that high damage can still kill you, or that some deaths are scripted.

did you try the IGNORE/INVISIBLE option to get around tough areas?

I used the Unli. potion and I thought this option will just freeze the number of potions I have. However, I ended up with like at least 500,000 health potions.
