    Well it's official now upgrading from Win7 will be free as well.

    I dont know what to do I have many trainers that wont work with Win10, I guess I wont be upgrading for now..

    There is a time limit on that deal. After 1 year from General Availability, if you did not take advantage of the upgrade, you will have to pay full price for it.

    One thing I would be worried about is how Microsoft is going to manage IE and Spartan at the consumer level. There is a real possibility that a lot of trainer activation functionality will be all jacked up depending how it is. There are rumors that IE will be disabled by default (re-enabled by sysadmins that needed it for corporations). No idea how radically different that Spartan will be under the hood. One of the main reasons they forked the code was to go forth and hack out the years of forced backwards compatibility in favor of modern practices.

    Thinking about it ex post facto, maybe authentication which depends on IE wasnt the best way to go, but I'm sure the staff will find a solution in any case.
