Was setting the trainer to "Retired" status an accident, or was it done because of all of the trouble that's arisen from people not understanding exactly how to use it? I just bought the complete pack, and I'm downloading it right now, I'm just wondering if the trainers will be updated for future patches, assuming there are any.

Thanks for any information provided! I'm certain the trainer will work like a charm.

Edit: My mistake, I didn't read the thread just below mine. Please lock, and sorry!

the game is retired. it is still patching. it patched 3 times in 2 days. after patching 30 times before that... in a span of < 2 months..

if I feel like looking at it again I will. but this game is permanently retired.

you have to ask yourself if the game NOW after patching a bazillion times is really any different or better than when it patched 10 times ago..

the developers are toying with it and making sht up as they go. they have no quality control, no testing crew, or anything. YOU are the testing crew, and you paid THEM to do it.

game is permanently retired and will remain so. if I update it, it's because I won the lotto or something nice happened to me one day and I literally have nothing else to do. even then, it will remain retired if we post a trainer.

You guys stuck it out for a long, long time on the first game and this one. It's pretty clear that they aren't at all an organized studio, and while I do enjoy the themes and gameplay, the simple fact is that these aren't, objectively, good games. The art department did a fantastic job, and should be recognized for that, but other than being really pretty and having some interesting/refreshing types of enemies, the gameplay is still very rooted in Diablo II/LOD and there are frankly better options for playing this kinda thing than this game.

If you want a really good hack and slash with tons of customization options, check out Titan Quest and its expansion. Still look great today, really fun gameplay, great art asset work and oh by the way it actually was TOTALLY FINISHED and is really easy to pick up and play without tearing your bleeping hair out because the studio couldn't be arsed to implement things like "quality control" or "efficient bug tracking."

Screw the Van Helsing series, f'real.

I got Titan Quest an age ago from a humble bundle, I believe. Still haven't played it, so I'll look into it at some point.

Given their update log, I'd have to agree that it's a waste of time and money trying to keep up to date when they're releasing so many minor patches. Thanks for keeping up as long as you did, though!
