Thanks to DarthPresidente and the other great modders of Kalypso's forums, modding tropico 5 became much easier (even easier than modding tropico 4).
I started working mainly with DarthPresidente's Building tweak which enabled me to modify a building to gain more power or an enormous amount of research points along other various options.
You'll find in the following link a mod that will make your library generate at least 10000 Research Points, and your power plants to generate at least 100000 MW of electricity which is more that enough.

You just need to create a folder in your tropico 5 directory called "CommonLua" and put the lua file in it.

P.S: you need to start a new game, or destroy and rebuild the modded buildings to see the effects in your savegame to see the effects>

Thank you. Will try it out now.
I've tried it and seems that all is working perfectly. Thanks again for your work. But power plants generate only 10,000 MW not 100,000. Research points is good, 10,000 as described. I just finished mission with

good to know it's working properly.
I corrected the file you can redownload it and the power plants will generate the correct amount.

actually I've already mentioned that this was possible because of their efforts, plus not many members of cheathappens visit kalpyo's forums and in the forums no one cared to look at the research points.
in addition to that the mod I posted had the name of Darthpresidente on it, I used the base tweak to solve the power and research issues that many members on cheathappens requested, but they were not trying to look at kalypso's forums like we did.

this is another useful mod to remove the cooldown period in embassies when enacting political actions such as praise, it will also raise the starting faction standing for foreign powers to 100.

as I mentioned earlier, modding tropico is really easy and if you studied the lua files of game hard enough you can do extra mods.

As for the Pollution and Factory's Effectiveness, in later eras of the game you will enable a pollution-related constitution option.

One of the choices is "Zero Emissions" it reduces effectiveness and pollution, this mod will make it so it greatly reduces pollution while INCREASING effectiveness of industrial buildings. it's a simple const mod but it really helps.
