I have around 3000 hours of RuneScape time. I don't play the game anymore and knew it was a terrible game when I was playing it, but I still played it.

Ok, but would you post a public review of the game basically saying "I've played this game for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week for over a YEAR, but the game sux, don't buy it?"

What kept you playing the game, anyway? Maybe you didn't have any other games at that time or was it just habit? Only games I have close to those hours playing are Borderlands 2 and Batman A/C (2500 each, prox) but I loved the games and some of that time, in all honesty, was idle time.

I often left them running while I was doing something else. Going to dinner, taking a shower, sex, walking the dog. "Life's DLC's" so to speak. Going to dinner was usually 2-3 hours, and sex... oh, probably another 4-5 minutes.

Anywhich, I'd wager most people with high hour counts like those have at least some idle time built into the total. Et Tu, Brute?

The RuneScape Adventurer's Log keep track of time spent in game, and you are automatically logged out after 5 minutes of being idle or so (when I first started playing, you were logged out after 1 minute of inactivity). So it's pretty freaking accurate, which makes it even worse.

I don't think I'd give the game a 1/10 if that's what you're asking. I'd definitely give it a below-average score, though. Pretty much the only reason I ever played it was because it was incredibly addicting, and I was an introvert. I really came out of my shell in my later high school years, and that took me away from home a lot; spend a lot of time out and about. It made me realize how much more fun outside with friends was than inside with the computer for 10+ hours/day. Then when I started playing other games, I realized how mind-numbing and boring RuneScape is. I can't play it for much more than an hour these days, so I don't play anymore. Literally the only thing it has going for it is the longevity aspect; the gameplay, at least in my opinion, is awful, and the community is even worse. This, I'd make public.
