No, but VAC bans are done through waves, so if I am banned, I would know in like 2 weeks to a month.

I am having this issue too, But I cannot see ANY signs and i've dropped mine and nothing happens. but I see messages, ghosts, blood stains everywhere so I know i'm online.

This happens on a brand new character who I've never used the trainer on, a mid level character, and a NG+ character.


I had my fun of pvp on ps3, would be sad if i lost that on PC permanently.

Edit: ok i can see one or two signs, very very rarely when they were all over before. there's other threads on the game forums about this too.

You just admitted to using the trainer ONLINE, which is clearly against the rules.

Regardless of whether you consider it justified to use it against other ONLINE cheaters or not, that is not a legitimate reason to break the rules.

Only cheat people who try to cheat you? Only rob people who try to rob you? You are a criminal in both cases.

You should NEVER use these trainers online and if you do we really don't need a status update on when you get banned for it:

"Here at Cheat Happens, we never intentionally create or post cheats that work in a multiplayer environment. Cheats (in our opinion) should only be used for single player modes and trying to use them in multiplayer will cause the cheats not to work and may possibly get you banned from that game's multiplayer servers."

Woah there buddy friend, no need to get so hostile at at a whims notice! I am not trying to dispute or argue with anyone here, I'm trying to go through what I did, so WE can conclude to an answer as to why I am not able to play multiplayer any longer.

Anyways, now that hopefully you calmed down, this was not a post to let people know I got banned, it was a warning to people who still use it on multiplayer (And lets be honest,we all know some of us do) and to people who don't to just be careful in how you use it. Its obviously a risk, and WE are trying to go through the reasons why it is a risk here, NOT argue about what anyone did wrong, and be counter productive.

But don't worry I forgive you for trying to do the right thing and support cheat happens! I really do! But again, this is a productive forum post to figure out what exactly is going on with multiplayer, and I'm not the type of person to Lie and leave small details out when trying to iron a problem out.

Sorry you took it so hostile although I was simply trying to illustrate to you what is already clearly stated on the site.

I have no feelings towards the issue one way or another so emotion does not come into it for me at least.

You say you are trying to warn people, but everyone has already been warned about the rules/risks, so we do not need to see another post like this. As you say, it's "counter productive".

If anything what I posted earlier facilitates your very goal of warning and informing people. Smiley!

I will be perfectly happy if I can play DS2 single player offline before using the trainer. Does whatever VAC is mess this up further? I don't think trainers should be used for _anything_ associated with a Solo player even in a multi-player environment.

If it becomes clear that trainers used in DS2 Solo or Single Player games won't work then I won't be playing the game.

I'm glad to see the CH trainer though as I love using them in single player or solo offline games.

I wouldn't suggest using the trainer at all at this point because VAC detects memory changes. Even if you fully disconnect your computer from the internet, VAC will detect a sudden and steep change in values in the files and it will flag you as a cheater with VAC.

Safest route at this point is to not use the Trainer on Dark Souls 2 at all if you want to keep your multiplayer open and to not get VAC banned.

I've bought this game for the single-player part.

I'm not interested to play with/against anyone except the UI (entity).

This game is falsely represented as single-player, they're not giving any choices, it's multi-player or nothing (they didn't plan to put Steam offline to access S-P).

The developer and the publisher do not have any intentions to fix the simple mouse + keyboard control flaws.

They just want to rule the players and make fast money with the half-cooked pc port.

I should have remembered that's not the first time bandai namco (or vice-versa) ruined their name, Enslaved is another good example.
