After they updated to 1.9, the trainer wouldn't originally work for me either. But I ran it in administrative mode now, and it works again. I hope that helps some people.

today i cant seem to download either trainer goes 83% then fail, retry and retry doesnt do anything, done everyhing like clean cookies/temp.

I've been using the top-most trainer, the one released on April 9th, and it's been working fine for me. It is mislabeled I think with the older build number, but I've had no problems with any of the options.

No .exe in the .rar file.
In clear, the trainer is not included in the download
