If you are using AV like Avast you have to turn of real-time shield. trainers set off a false positive as they are detected as a hack tool. I had that problem with Avast and that was my solution. also if you are scanning with an AV you need to set the CH trainers as exceptions or the AV program will delete them.
My last patch was 1.041.
How many patches did I miss on (during the interim)?
EDIT: At least this patch was a purely (missing) content patch and did not change the EXE again.

They should have been patching this way during the EA period.
