Not sure. If you go to the request page, it says this:

This form should not be used to request an update to an existing trainer or for a different version of an existing trainer. The official trainer thread on the message board for that title is the appropriate place for those kinds of requests.

I guess we wait for official word on how to proceed.

What is new:
Graphical overhaul and update to the Unity 5 game engine.
Expanded voice-over with thousands of newly-voiced lines for key characters and scenes.
Precision Strikes system allows you to target individual body parts on enemies in combat, which lets you inflict negative status effects on them.
Perks system lets you pick bonuses for your characters as they level up.
Quirks system lets you pick a personality trait for each custom created Ranger during character creation, with a gameplay-modifying positive and negative quality.
Rebalanced gameplay, including virtually all combat encounters, weapons, loot drops and containers.
Controller support on PC and console. On PC, you can select from keyboard and mouse input, as well as Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 DUALSHOCK 4 controller modes.

I was only aware of the voice-over that was new. But it seems there is lots of new things

Maybe we will get Perks modifier on the new trainer

While I really hope for a trainer in the mean time I have opened a save game with a xml viewer and it appears to be editable with the application of some basic common sense(if you use a good xml code viewer not crappy ie) "my" save games are documents\my games\wasteland2dc hope it helps somebody have succesfully edited attributes and skills but havent found currency yet

FWIW, on Steam, W2 : DC is a TOTALLY different line item. This isn't a patch of the original. This is a whole new game. You can still play Wasteland 2. IMHO, that should mean a separate trainer item would be fine. At least not something you should be punished for asking.

We are currently working on a new trainer for the DC. It's a completely different game in a 64-bit engine. No need to send in requests. Hopefully will be done in the next few days.
