    Government Class!

Those crazy Americans, now I can see why their education level has dropped badly the last decade, their own Government is making a class on it... it is like, "learn this and become our sheepies"

Whatever happened to things like Geography and French and Biology etc :P

You have political science courses in Britain, genius.

It's part of the General Education. I don't necessarily have to take Government, but I've aced these types of classes in the past, so I went for the easy A.

Besides, I always find myself much more attuned with politics when I'm in one of these classes. It's nice to be up-to-date.

You insult American education and you don't have a proper general education curriculum.

    Wonderful.

Go be happily ignorant masses for the totalitarian state to manipulate because no one knows what an ideology is.

The American education system has insulted itself for the last decade, you only have to see the statistics of states showing the amount of students who failed to get their high school diplomas.

Even those who do well, a percentage of them are taught pro-american stances that when you talk to them they are unfortunately ignorant about the world about them.

I remember watching a video on youtube asking University grads where specific countries where on the map.

India and Australia they had no clue about, that is kinda shocking. It does show that from an earlier age Geography isn't taught much at all, except for remembering the 50 states and capitals and that is about it in most states, only a few states have standard to great education levels.

World wide education levels are dropping so its not just an American thing, but America has the largest numbers of poor education.

In Scotland there is a very good curriculum in place, England not so much so, so at least we teach our kids different from the English methods, but kids here are no different from other kids worldwide who just don't want to learn and want to be on their consoles day in and day out. And we are starting to suffer for it, and only recently had plans to combat it.
