Assassin´s Creed IV: Black Flag Message Board  

Is anyone aware of a way to unlock the rewards and bonuses (weapons, fleet mission time bonus, etc.) for social challenges without having to add other Ubi friends and mull through the world to find randomly spawned events?

I'm guessing the answer is "no," as this data is most likely stored and coordinated server-side. Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to ask. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I honestly don't know anyone else who plays the game, let alone their Ubi handles. So, short of buying another copy of ACIV and playing them both simultaneously, I'll have to miss out on some cool in-game gear.

You don't need any friends to have social events .
In recent days the events have been broken .
Yesterday there was patch including Physx and apparently fixes for the events .
Ubisoft explained that they been doing some changes to it cos the events been showing just to often , now they apparently fixed .

Thanks for the info. I'd submitted a support ticket to Ubisoft about a week ago, but I've gotten no response so far. I suppose they have their hands full with all these DLC rollouts.

Anyway, that's good to know. When I first started playing, I'd run across a discovery sharing event every once in awhile. After a few days, they stopped showing up altogether. I've yet to come across a single social treasure.
