A good point was made though. Why would a Caliber worked on a cheat that is dependent on the stability of the other program when it's known to be unstable? Compound that with the reception he is seeing here (extremely discouraging). There's other CHU members giving a better reception on a more stable game after all and it would seem time is better spent over there.

Humility should be a hallmark for fans of indie games. You're competing with another crowd of paying members that are most likely a better crowd to work with. That's why this game is getting the current reception it is now.

Gonna go ahead and throw in a kudos for having a stable trainer up for the initial update as quickly as he did. Not his fault chucklefish had to push a hotfix that fast.

I consider the point irrelevant. Forgive me for my confusion, I'm not certain who maintains Starbound's cheats. I see a 0x90, then PWizard implied he's the man, then there's Caliber. Are these all the same person? Regardless of who, the reasons aren't germane, are they? Someone created cheats in spite of Starbound being considered beta software. For these cheats, and others, I am grateful. I personally dance internally every time I use Cheat Happens and I hold their creators in the highest regard. I consider my lifetime sub one of the best purchases I've ever made. If PWizard is the man for Starbound, or even if he isn't, I completely sympathize with his frustration at game development headaches. IMHO everyone should be free to vent if they're frustrated, especially in a venue where they have reason to believe their listeners will sympathize. Being labeled BETA fails miserably serving as a balm for user frustration and should not be considered some sort of vent prevention, particularly in an environment where the developers of the game aren't involved. Also, considering the source and the venue I think it obvious chastisement was inappropriate. My previous post attempted to share this opinion in a succinct manner. I failed, mostly due to my burning desire to jump right back into Starbound with "trainer activated" still echoing around the room. In retrospect I should have done better. For my crass behavior I apologize. To whomever maintaining this cheat, please accept my heartfelt appreciation. If it helped I would happily grovel before you in the hopes that another updated cheat might be hastened along. If there's something else I might do to assist please call upon me, I am your servant.

lol no, they are most definitely not the same person.

0x is pretty quick when it comes to updating trainers.

Ive noticed that 0x tends to be focused towards Indie n AA games whereas Cal tends to be focused on AAA games and the like.

I would like to point out though that 0x is very aware of Starbound being a beta, and im sure he was aware that when he started working with it that chances are theres going to be a lot of patches.

have faith guys, 0x knows what hes doing.

My point was that I took time out of MY SUNDAY to post a trainer for this game as I thought perhaps it would be appreciated by the members. Then, several hours later the game updated again which required yet another posting. I vented my frustration and then was quickly reprimanded for my behavior on my own website. In the future I just won't bother trying to do anyone any favors on what is supposed to be my day off.

Yeah, agreed. Don't listen to the whiners, what you did was awesome, working on your day off. On that note, did that patch it again within like an hour of the last patch or something? I can't see to get past character creation now, but yet it worked an hour before. Everytime I try, no matter what command, the game gets an error, and boom, complete shutdown. I was just curious because I had this working perfectly before, but since the last patch, I can't seem to get it to work at all, just curious. I am not saying it's either the trainer or the game, (..cough, prolly the game, cough...) but I can't seem to get anything to work anymore or even get past the character creation without a shutdown. Please let me know if anyone else is having this problem, as so far it seems to be working for most people since last patch.
