I've also noticed that the energy cell drop seems to freeze your character in this manner, and as far as I can tell I don't think it matters if you even have any of the options on but rather having the trainer activated at all appears to eventually cause the issue regardless.

I can confirm that as well. I'm actually seeing an error text at the top left of my game every time I activate the trainer now. Don't know why its doing it now of all times. Maybe there was some stealth update or something.

Can confirm. This is game breaking when it happens.

Still encountering this bug in every play through. Sometimes can't even make it past the 2nd level without it happening, sometimes making it to the last level. Any word on if this will be fixed?
