Funny how you quote Patton in your sig, yet claim to have suffered from shellshock/PTSD during your service...
Patton was not a believer in shellshock/PTSD and even slapped a few men across the face and threatened to shoot one all because he believed these men were shirkers and cowards. Patton only got a slap on the wrist for his actions but many believe it cost him his chance for 4th star and how Gen. Omar Bradley became his superior.
I just find it ironic - your Patton sig and your mental health claim. Patton is not somebody you should admire if you suffer from mental health issues - especially PTSD. He was a bully and a punk really. Might have been a great strategic general but he was a privileged jerk who wasn't sleeping in a foxhole on the front lines like the men he commanded and abused.
It's easy to send men to their deaths compared to facing death yourself at someone else's command. He was just another Gen. Pickett really who lead from the rear and sent his men to their slaughter at Gettysburg.
Anyways, thanks for your service. You earned your right to complain. Might want to quote someone else. Ike was a better man and a better General.
