Totally agree it's a despicable new trend to turn the customers to free beta testers!
Everyone is doing it these days.

They do it because its practically very profitable & can save so many times for QA

Also gamers want to do it since they want to play the game as earlier as they could so then they can boast it that they had have played the games FIRST in their school OR gamers want to play it earlier to study the games so they would have much better advantages to pawn others during MP session when the games gone gold then... everyone had know that BF 4 is about MP not SP at all, so every beta session is a haven for every MP gamers

Also its a real & great business practice to treat their customer as freebie beta tester so then the company can save more money & get more profit or allocate the QA money for campaign money since marketing campaign got more expensive every years

Why not... today gamers even want to pay & keep churning bucks after bucks & will gladby pre-order their bugfest laden games that need to get patched every day weeks months... as long as it dont cost them $1M & the patches don't have size like 100Tb... people would still gladly buy that product then

Nowadays gamers have much more bigger concern about the graphic aspect of the games than the stability aspect of the games!
Few cares about that when people bought Skyrim or Rome2TW or CoH2 or other... as long as the graphic were so great & the gameplay are decent plus the games had many other good perks & points to compensate that bugfest laden situation, gamers would still want it & buy it gladly, despite its need to get patched every weeks or even days

Its so sad but let's prepare ourselves when there will surely comes the era when gamers will even need to pay more & more just to uninstalling their gamers, getting the real ending, using 2 controllers, playing with friends in co-op, playing games in highest difficulties (like what happened with Metro LL), restarting the games in 1 save slot, having bigger save slot, etc... since its a common thing for any company to use every opportunities available to reap more profit with less cost & using their customer as freebie beta tester concealed in introduction or promotion mode is surely a great thing to reap bigger profit & to speed up the lenghty production phase of the games too

People would gladly accept all this business policy as long as they don't need to pay with their blood, like how today gamers reasoned that paying $10 - 15 for DLC is a very normal thing

Or how they reasoned that its a very big OK to have ERROR 37 as long as the company cs can help them or as long as they need only to wait for hours or days or weeks to play that games... so now, we must accept this bleak fate that would made our pocket less shallow every year

Wow you blew up my mind man! you're so right gamers are the primary problem!
Although this beta will be free I refuse to play it, and to tell you the truth I never bought a beta version of a game before and I dont intend to.
Also I learned that Nvidia is using the same technique with their drivers with new cards, so on this department I learned never buy a new product when it just comes out, this is the last time ill ever be any company's ginny pig.

Yeah, except it was heavily dumbed down for COD fanbase and you don't even have to aim to kill someone in multiplayer matches. You can score full auto headshots across the map with absolutely no problem. Go try that on BF2 and tell me how it goes.
