Does anybody know if its possible to become an emperor when playing with Roman faction? I noticed that if you use "your" house exclusively for military conquest, your senate rating skyrockets.
Is there any way to overthrow the republic or....?

If you obtain ~80 of imperium (with Rome) you have a civil war. If you win you can choose between Republic or Empire.
Republic => It's the same thing.
Empire => Only you and your family have a politic influence.

im getting more and more depressed that i can't play
so if one chooses to continue the republic, civil war can happen all over again?
After the civil war your choose is definitive.
