Only way to avoid it, would be to run steam in offline mode before the patch starts to download, I would guess, but as most people have Steam running on startup, it's hard to do.

Couple of hours waiting for the new trainer isn't exactly the end of the world.

And the bad news, its a Forced update, when you start the game it forces an update, Bugger..

EDIT: apparently the reason of the diffrence of patch size, is that some ppl have been downloading while playing the game

29 Mb here too, and didn't download anything since Steam was offline (I kept it that way to prevent auto-patch before trainer is out ).

BTW, did anyone have problems switching Steam from offline to online? Steam was frozen in the "connecting to account" tab, I had to restart it in compatibility mode...

And now it's stuck at 20 mb, download speed = 0 ??!!!

That damn steam is updating my game. I ASKED IT NOT TO, SO WHY DID IT DO IT ANYWAY ?

Irony is, the trainer is out BUT damn STEAM can't download 30 Mb. So I can't play Rome.
