pack file manager is basically like self patch, extracting the data from data folder and edit it as you want. for example, in shogun 2, with pack file manager you can have hero units as many as you want, not limited to 1 or 2.

there is mod pack that halve all valor (mostly) in twcenter forum, -4->-2, -12->-6. grab it if you want

Whilst no one's questioning the problems this game is facing until they patch it, the speed at which mods come out for a game has nothing to do with its quality. Skyrim had been released for all of three hours before the first mods started rolling out for it.

The Total War series has a large, talented and well established modding community, so it's no surprise that the first thing some people did upon receiving their copy was begin making mods for it.

No one's especially happy with how the game released, but I think in various threads on these forums you're overreacting a little bit, pal. Just try and chill a bit

Actually now that i've gotten into the mechanics of it, squalor is not that bad...it actually makes you think instead of building all your settlements up as "killing machines"...adds a lot of depth into the game. You just need to be smart about it (which i will admit, i wasnt at first...major *****y overreaction!!! )

Just measure well, stop treating it as a game thats all about the battles...for everything you do that generates squalor, you need to counter it with something that makes the hordes happy! like temples, mead halls, aqueducts, etc... considering the way RTW2 treats provinces (as a group of cities), as long as you balance it, you can have pretty much everything in a big province (3-4 cities)...but completely impossible in 2 cities ones...just wont work. Time to knock on your neighbours doors and grab those settlements

By the way, the patch is out (downloading as i type this) - actually kind of hoping they keep squalor as is. Battles and AI in general really need "help"...tired of rolling big cities in 4 minutes, killing 3,000 man armies in 5 minutes, etc...it's so fast i cant even see the fight animations properly!!!! Siege engines barely have time for 2 rounds before their on my lines! crazy **** what they did to battles...

i find it strange that the maximum allowed buildings in Rome is 5 and in Brundisium it is 6
If the maximum allowed buildings would be increased would fix this i think
