Total War: Rome 2 Discussion
if you got patch on Saturday, the trainer will not work. wait until monday, CH staffs have their day off too. too bad the patch out on yesterday.
They will update it, both Chris and Cal are from the U.S, so they might not even be out of bed yet. It is a Sunday after all.
Depending where in the US, it's either 7am, or earlier.
Or May just not work on Sundays, they have the rights as everyone else to have a day off.

OK, seriously? Just how anally retentive does a dev have to be that they release a hotfix just to block a trainer for the singleplayer only trainer?
It isn't like we're trolls using aimbots in Counterstrike or anything like that.
All they wanted is to increase the game's stability until they bring the next big patch next Friday or so... Making the current trainer useless was just a side-effect, not their intention.
The way trainers work is that they follow pointers inside the games memory which refer to specific parts, which are desireable to modify. These pointers will always be the same in correlation to the game loading point in memory, so any changes made to the game which changes the order of these pointers - even just slightly - will cause the trainer to fail. This is what has happened here.
While I would of course like to see a new trainer come out, I realise that Cheat Happens is a business - not just a hobby, and men who work as hard as these people are (you should see how many trainers come out on a daily basis), one cannot blame them for taking the weekend off like most people should. Coding sounds like its easy peasy, you just sit at a desk and type - but it is mind bogglingly exhausting, trying to reverse engineer other peoples work.
