First shiny I ever saw was a shiny Aron in Emerald. I had Combusken out and used Blaze Kick assuming that it's "rock" type would resist it. I forgot that it was a Steel type and knocked it out. [insertragefacehere]

Yeah, so now when I start a new pokemon game, I spend all of my starting money on Great Balls as soon as possible, and then when I get to a town with Ultra Balls, I buy them all up. And I haven't used the Master Ball since GSC to catch one of the dogs. Always saving it for a shiny. Ha.
