Why would someone want to have achievements gained by using a trainer?

When we choose to use these great trainers it's for OUR fun and game play enjoyment, not for posting achievements that are compared and listed along with what other people have done without a trainer.

IMHO, achievement gains from a trainer is cheating and all of us should avoid it so our friends here a CH don't get the negative feedback that could possibly come from it.

Trainer = Personal Play, Personal Fun Off Line.

No Trainer = Community Play, Community Fun Online.

In a way I feel you are right but also in a way I feel your wrong. As I really hate Achievements and do not really care if I get them in my game's by using the trainer or not. We are playing for fun. So what. It is not ruining anyone's enjoy of the game. Just because oh he got all the achievements and she couldn't big whoop. Achievements are a side track another flashy shiny sticker to make you think its more fun. Enjoy the game and forget about the Achievements.

In EU 3 you logged in paradox servers even if playing through steam... with EU 4 they have not done it so and its directly through steam so no logging in and off...

I don't care about achievements... they are only there to artificially prolong game time without actually adding more stuff to it (not this game in particular, all games), where you would play one playthrough and was done with the game now nooo.. you have to play again and again not because they released an expansion and/or DLC but because you didn't get some kind of idiotic achievement... who cares!!! play the game, enjoy it move on...
All is fair in love and war.

I too find achievements to be nothing more than another scheme to garner continued interest in a game.

I posted what I did due for the folks that DO care about achievements and are using a CH trainer to gain them.

Off-line personal play is just that, personal and completely up to the player.

On-line competition, (some consider achievements as hall marks of skill) should be done with what the game offers only and no outside programs.

I really don't consider getting all of the achievements with a trainer as a show of my skill. I just have a bad case of OCD and I can't stand to see things unfinished, or undone, not experienced every little detail of the game. For example, playing each elder scrolls game takes me years to finish, even if I play every day.
