the river is dry and thier is one water fall but it is blocked of by a gate how do i open it

sorry mate, it's been a long time since I last played it, I think once you make the connection between Jurak and the dry side of the gate, some elves open it, so you just need to make the connection (if you connect them and it still dosn't work then you sould try gamefaqs.com or rpgdreamer.com in the FAQ's section on the game)

Go through the forest until you encounter the snake. By then, you should have enough pieces of river to make the connection to the river. Do it, then go to trent and use the "Hunter's Earring". You'll then get the serpent sword along with Goro, or whatever you called him. Go back to the Wise Owl Forest and duel the snake. Beat him, then switch to Goro and hit the log stump.

if you do the duel perfectly you can get a special item like a gem (diamonds ect. not fire gems ect)
