I can get the trainer and the editor to activate, even some functionality in the editor. However the trainer when I push the activation buttons correctly from the video shown it say activated and then nothing happens. I tried the other trainers and the same thing happened.

Current trainer is tested and working fine with current game version. Disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer. run trainer. run game. alt tab to desktop and press F1 to activate, alt+tab back to game. If not working then your version doesn't match or something is blocking it.

I checked the following:

AV
The only AV software I have installed is Malewarebytes it does not actively running unless the program is open and a scan is being preformed.

Windows Firewall
Currently disabled, I preform other task that require the firewall to be disabled and they still work

Version
I am running the steam version of the game and it checks for updates. Even so I went to the game website to check what update was out and it matched the game version I had.

I followed the instructions to the letter and the the trainer activates and when I uses and option is says activated but when I push the "+ or - or *" after the option nothing happens and then the option will say deactivated.

No idea. You can try posting your issue in the official trainer thread and see if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. We have tens of thousands of members using this trainer with no problem and our tests show that it is working properly.
