So like usual nothing will go smooth when you buy a new pc and I'm having this annoying problem with my card's driver(gtx770).
it seems that every day at least once the driver freezes and crashes when idle usually on ie browsing and I get the known error:"nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered".
I tried to perform a clean install with the new driver but after nvidia's installer removes the old driver I get a black screen with no signal and I have to reboot my pc only then I can install the driver.
I understood from nvidia forums that I'm not the only one with this issue and others with even older cards are experiencing the same problem since driver version 320.18 came out.
Any of you guys encountered this issue?

You will get these with new cards sometimes, best to stick to a driver that is best for your PC until its fixed.

I think I'll try the driver from the cd, but the clean install issue is really worrying me, I hope it's driver related..

    Please don't use 320.18

Is it stands, it's currently causing all sorts of problems and potentially destroying GPUs. Use an older version until something more stable comes out.

Thanks I read about the 320.18 frying gpu's, maybe that's how nvidia market themselves today, you fry your old gpu than you'll run to buy a new one..

Update: I installed 320.08 driver from the cd provided so far so good, even the clean install went perfectly.
A word of advice for all of those who bought new cards: dont update the driver yet, the current driver is seriously broken and causes major problems.

    Current is 320.49 isn't it?

Edit: Looked at my Geforece Experience panel and it says release date 7/1/2013, version 320.49

One of the updates was that it fixed stability and game compatibility issues reported with 320.18 drivers.

Yes this driver fixes some stuff but causes major problems especially with the new cards, a lot of tdr's while in desktop, with games the driver is pretty stable though..
