So it's about time to replace my good old pc monitor and go for a new one.
And I wonder which port is the best for gaming, and is there any difference between the two at all besides sound delivery by Hdmi?
I'm asking because most of the new large led screens come without Dvi port today..

look at this one bro ^^ i have the same monitor it has hdmi, dvi dp, 3d, 120 hertz, 2 ms reaction time, 27 inch etc etc, when i bought it it was 599 euros. def worth a look.

btw this one works best if 3D with AMD, so in case you want 3D with nividia you need another monitor, although the monitor itself has dedicated 3D build in to make from any 2D > 3D, no matter what brand graphics card.

that one works as well but 24 inch instead of 27,and no 3D if that bothers at all

    Interface

    1 x D-Sub
    2 x HDMI

d-sub means i think that's the dvi input else you would have only hdmi

checked it up D-Sub = VGA meaning any old vga cable standard
also meaning you would need a adapter on the graphics card going from dvi>vga cable > D-Sub on the monitor

    www.howtogeek.com/howto/32524/whats-the-difference-between-hdmi-and-dvi-which-is-better/

last part of that info tells:

So Which Digital Cable is Best?

In our opinion, HDMI is the cable and connector to stick with. It’s the default connector on most devices and screens, compatible with HD content including HDCP protected Blu-ray, and can carry video, audio, and more all on one cable. One cable and you’re done. For now, it’s the cable and connector we recommend you standardize on.

which is all nice and dandy but the monitor i have and i bet no other monitor as well have a hdmi cable thrown into the package

which brings me to the next link

It makes no difference at the consumer level.

Thanks again dear friend but I read those before and I'm still not sure about it because I read others as well that note that the audio transmmited in the Hdmi is slightly interfering the digital signal, I hope these are urban legends but still I need to be sure not every day I go out and buy myself a screen..
