I dont understand the fascination of both Mass effect and System Shock... But whatever every man and his cup of tea.

System Shock 2 easily trumped everything else in terms of atmosphere for half a decade, easily.

Personally, favorites are the Dead Space franchise (best tie-in media of any franchise, IMO), Halo, Syndicate, Deus Ex... pretty much any videogame science fiction, really.

The original Syndicate was epic all the sequels were Imo...

Deus Ex for me. The original that is.

System Shock series, Mass Effect series, Dead Space series, Freelancer, X series, Warhammer series, KOTOR series, Fallout series, Wing Commander, Beneath a Steel Sky, Deus Ex series (Except Invisible War which was ), Syndicate series.

Note I have not labeled them in Rank because that would be hard. Also there is some in there I find am not sure the fit Sci fi genre.
