what would you like to see?

i personally would love to see the next star wars films be set in the era of The Old Republic (with nothing to do with the STOR MMO game). A trilogy(or more) covering:

The Great Sith War, with focus on how Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma would become corrupt and rise to power

The Mandilorian Wars, with focus on the Jedi Council's reluctance to aid the Republic from destruction and how Revan and Malak rallied the Jedi to save the Republic despite the decision of the Jedi Council. A sub-story-arch with the exile's role in the wars would be a good angle too.

The Jedi Civil War, with focus on Revan and Malak's rise to power and corruption and their betrayal of the republic. Along with the Jedi's plot to capture Revan and erase his memory so that he may aid the Jedi in the destruction of Malak.

I think making films like this would get much greater reviews than if Disney decided to continue from the original saga....just my opinion though.

Whatever they do, Lucas needs to pull his head out of his ass and use the EU which he personally approved of when it was being written.

He's already destroyed about half of it with his alteration of what the clone wars were.

And in the process lost some of his best writers.

Oh, wait, that's right. He's going to destroy the last of it, because to get Harrison Ford on board he had to promise to kill Han.

They need to make a trilogy dedicated to Revan and Malak alone, then they can go around doing whatever it is they want to do.

As far as I know, but I think it's fake, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford all agreed to be in the new movie(s).

He approved it being written. He has also publicly stated that the EU books are entirely non-canon. He allowed the creation of the EU purely as a money-making scheme.






They shouldn't make any films at all.

1. If they make films using EU material, they won't do it justice/will ruin what already exists.
2. If they do not use EU material, they will further ruin what EU already exists.

IIRC, Lucas doesn't even think his first trilogy constitutes a "canon".

He's an angry hippie who discovered that it's awesome to bathe in gold coins and now hates himself.
