this problem is for the INCREDIBLE ADVENTURES OF VAN HELSING trainer ver: 1.0.0.1 I have followed all the troubleshooting tips to get this trainer working, but can't get it to work. as soon as I click on play the trainer crashes. I am at a loss as what to try next, any suggestions people? thank you. also I bought the game from gamestop steam version.

Erm that works only if you didnt update and your game is still same 1.0.0.1 as the trainer is. because they are at 1.0.0.4 atm already

First, there is no "gamestop steam" version. You either bought it from Gamestop or you bought it from Steam. Just like I don't have a new Ford Hyundai. The trainer is made for the Steam version. This game has already patched 4 times. You must follow the trainer instructions TO THE LETTER and use the special launcher along with matching trainer version for this to work.

I bought it online at gamestop and it has steam files installed in the folder where it is installed, and the exe is ver.1.0.0.1 and I am running explorer 9

game exe is 1.0.0.1 and trainer that I downloaded is the same version

I am 87% certain that you can only get it from the dev (gets you a steam key) or steam itself.

At any rate, Gamestop does not appear to sell the game. A product search for "van helsing" only turns up console games and the movie.

It's supposed to be a fun game, it's gotten rave reviews, you should actually buy a copy if you want to play it. Support indie developers. It's 10% off until the 29th, and isn't exactly costly to begin with.
