I have a video from youtube I downloaded but there is a portion I want to cut at the end. Does anyone know of a editor for windows that can edit a mpeg-4 video for free? I just want to crop the thing and I don't want to pay for software because it won't used.
Thanks.

Yup, Windows Movie Maker is about the only free option. Although, they do render the videos in pretty bad quality (unless the program has changed since the last time I used it, which was a long time ago.)

If you want to cut the video, you can try out VirtualDub, it is freeware and it's possible to edit videos lossless but I don't know if it can handle mp4.
