Don't blame the card for the actions of the card holder.

In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'

My advice of using credit card, been using it since high school with my mother as the cosigner. It reduced the need for me to have large sum of cash in my wallet for large purchases.

    1. Never go over your credit limit.

    2. Budget your monthly expenses and refrain from spontaneous purchase. I evaluate how much I make per month and how much I've spent on a weekly basis for all my credit card purchase decisions. If I've spend over my desired amount, I wait till next month to make the purchase. AWLAYS make sure you save atleast 15-25% of your income in your savings account every month for rainy days.

    3. Always full pay your statement balance ON TIME. Unless you want to join the people in debt.

Following the above three rules will most likely keep you out of debt and build your credit score up for important life events in the future. I.E. Mortgage on your first house, business loan on your first business, etc.

Yes, that is why I suggest to spend within your means and pay off you balance completely every month. On all the credit card that I have(3) I've never had to pay any fees or interests.

Also, NEVER take out cash from ATM with your credit card.
