Is it possible to delete your character stats and start over?

I used the trainer without reading how much experience I would be given, and would rather unlock my levels more traditionally. So when I saw 1 million xp when I died I was a little stunned. I just wanted to skip a few levels.

I uninstalled the game through steam and turned off steam sync, but not before it was able to sync up that lvl 24 character. When I reinstalled my character was still maxed out.

Any suggestions?
