If I may beg clemency, Deep Silver acquired the rights to the studio in the big THQ cluster...bomb, as it were; they're not a great publisher, but 4A is a good studio, with a lot of talented people, and this is a title that a lot of people really enjoy playing, including myself. I understand that the "NEED NEED NEED ME ME ME" tone of some requests must be grating, and I am sorry for that, but in this case it's likely just the publisher pushing 4A to put out content on a very rushed schedule (which, again, small Ukrainian studio formed by the original devs of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games who left the studio long before GSC split up over creative differences).
That puts them in a bind. They're a studio with integrity - if you ever want to read a good insider's perspective on game development and in-house engine design and scalability, check out the lead developer's comments in the media, both for Metro 2033 and Metro:LL. They want to please their customers, as do all businesses, I'm sure. When the publisher has a boot on your neck and says "you're gonna put out X dlc RIGHT NOW" and it leaves a serious bug uncaught, they will work to try to fix it asap. It reminds me of when you guys had the issue with Steam pushing a problem with their overlay and you had an overlay unhooker out within HOURS - they want to serve their people as well as you do.
And that takes guts, look at other studios that were acquired by Deep Silver at the same time when THQ was torn apart. Dead Island: Riptide is a buggy mess, with the same engine as the original they still managed not to fix some of the serious issues the game has. So... if I may ask, politely, but passionately, as I love this game and I really enjoy using your products with 4A's products, could you please not discontinue this title?
I don't have any further power than that, I just have long appreciated your efforts and those of all the authors who show real dedication... I don't mean to try to force you, or manipulate you, I'm just asking in the only way that I can, please give them a bit of a break, and please don't discontinue this game's trainer. It should be a long time before the next DLC compatibility patch comes out (again, this is a decision made more by the publisher, Deep Silver, than the studio, 4A). An accidental blip shouldn't condemn a title to CheatHappens purgatory. I do politely request that you reconsider in this case.
Thank you for your time.
