Game Dev Tycoon Discussion
Dont need to touch current. Once you save it and the game loads, go in and load your save slot and everything should be there
that gave the main guy 2800 stats
to my employees and i see no differences in stats. so im not sure if im doing this right.
You are most likely not loading the save.
The save that loads when you start up the game is the "slot_auto". If you are editing slot_2/1 you must load that slot.
Auto Save loads
Also make sure the "id" is not 0 for all your employees, that indicates where the employee is located, 0 being the player employee.
Also updated the good start save with base levels (Sound, graphics, etc), Hype for next game, good "karma" (Company has done good things).

But i can not find hte right entries that are the same number that i see in the game. So i dont know what i need to edit.
Also. the Java editor only works i think on fresh and new savegames.
Not already used ones.
The numbers in-game are 500x what the number in the save game is.
If you put "tF":5.603 in, your employee will have 2801 technology points in game. Same applies for all the words with * after them in the main post.
At the bottom of the file there's entries for your last top score and the top score change and based on the wikia on how the game works, you're competing against your last top score to make good games. The entry claims you need ~11% improvement.
Has anyone been able to consistently create a way to make 9.5+ rated games every time? Even editing the last top score/top score change values seem to be hit or miss. I can't seem to find individual values for the design/tech scores (for new records!). The only time I actually pulled off a perfect game is actually pre save editing when I had no idea wtf I was doing and just randomly assigning sliders.
