Looking forward to playing this. It was about damn time we saw something new in the RTS genre, it's a shame not a single big "AAA" studio thought of making a fun looking game like this.
    Coolermaster Storm Stryker
    MSI Z87-G43 Gaming
    Corsair CM750 750W 80+ Gold Modular
    16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance PRO 1600MHz
    MSI RTX2060 ARMOR SUPER OC 8GB DDR5
    Intel core i5-4670K 3.5GHz
    1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200

Total Annihilation was a powerful and simplistic game, relying on your strategic skill to overcome the odds rather than unit upgrades and massive force. I loved pushing the boundaries of how small my force could be to beat the overwhelming odds.

The setting was perfect - a civil war that had consumed everything in the galaxy but the hatred between the two factions, their efforts to dominate each other are unparalleled - all notions of honour and mercy pushed aside and forgotten for the ultimate victory - Annihilation of the enemy!

I really hope they capture this for Planetary Annihilation, otherwise it will simply be another Supreme Commander - Fun, but lacking depth - no skill required, just the ability to gather resources and pump out as many units as you can.

Oh and not to forget the soundtrack - They either need to copy the original, or improve on it, nothing else will suffice.

And one more thing lol - customization - it looks like this will be a feature of the new game, much like in Total Annihilation - this feature kept the game expanding beyond anything the creators originally anticipated, and made it so much more valuable to those who loved it.

There is even a TA derived "engine" called spring, which seems to let you import TA models to be used in game take a look at it

    springfiles.com/

Also some old info i took from relicnews

TA:Spring is an RTS engine that can natively use data from the original TA CD's and third party units, and let you tinker around with a full-3D enviroment. It functions basically like the original, only this time, you are able to do a few new things (besides the obvious, such as the 3D camera), like take direct (first-person) control of a unit, increase the game speed beyond +10, and a few other nifty things. The engine also features deformable terrain. Look forward to creating craters with your Nuke silos.
