Does anyone have any idea if it is possible to improve your heroes by editing the saves or something like that?

Look for the "gold=" after it you will see "itemid". After that is a blank space, after that is "ind=" with sum numbers that is your first hero and his units.
Look for "lead=", "hlth=", "mag=", and "exp=" I edit these 4 numbers with no problems.
