I discovered the problem, I believe.

After attempting numerous ways to fix the problem, I think what you need to do is activate the cheat then IMMEDIATELY go to your next turn. It mentions it in the trainer but does not specifically state that you must nor that you have to activate only that ONE cheat THEN go to your next turn. If you wish to activate any other cheats, primarily, the Infinite Money cheat, you must repeat the process, using only THAT cheat THAT turn then going to the next one. This appears to have worked as all the options are now working, and, if this procedure is done correctly, the trainer itself does not need a fix.

I thank you very much! Now, it is working! But there was one difference. I have to press F1 for activation trainer not in main menu, but in game play. And after that when I press 2 and I finish turn. After that research for 1 turn work (I got 2 technologies at once every turn).

Well, now problem is resolved.

For some strange reason suddenly mine isn't working again. It was working just fine. What the heck is going on with this trainer?!

Anyone else finding issues with the download being corrupt when attempting to unzip it? I've tried it on two different machines with two different connections and I keep getting a unexpected end of archive and something about the files being corrupted.

disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software.

if using AVast, get rid of it completely.

Numpad 2: Research in 1 turn is not working for me.

The GalCiv2: UE version when I right-click on it in Steam is 202200, and has BuildID: 146798, but the trainer states 2.04 version. I am not sure if that is the issue, but Numpad 1, 3, and 6 work for certain.

In any given turn I've enabled a number of the cheats, and then de-activated all of them, enabled Numpad 2 only, and I still cannot get research done in 1 turn.

I've loaded a saved game, only enabled Numpad 2 and research will not complete in 1 turn. I've even enabled, then disabled, then enabled again Numpad 2, still no research in 1 turn.

I've tried both the above when pressing F1 in the menu and in gameplay but to no avail.

Any ideas?

It has been reported several times and I have done several attempts to fix the research option. I won't take a look on it again but I may remove the option if the majority has only trouble with it.

As another option to get research completed faster, would it be possible to make it possible to buy more than 1 building at a time when you are on the planet screen? This way you could buy several research buildings at a time, rather than 1 per planet, per turn.
