I am trying to remember the name of a game.
I got it on a floppy, might have been 5.25 but probably 3.5 inch, at a show. But since this was back in the day it was pirated rather than shareware.
Early 1990s.
Top down, vertical scrolling, arcade style. You controlled a spaceship, fighting aliens. Your ship was limited to a single axis of movement.
I recall that there was a fairly unique thing where when enemies dropped power ups, you extended a claw to get them rather than flying through them (single axis of movement).
Very similar to Raptor: Call of the Shadows, but several years earlier and more basic.
The intro bit had a thing where a toothpick company cut down the last of the Amazon rain forest and the spokesman said "gee, that's just too bad".
I want to play again this game so bad. Even though it's probably crap.
In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'
