Hi there,

I am having the same problem as Slowpoke2.
I downloaded directly from the website and not via steam and I can't get the trainer to detect the game at all. I even tried by changing the original kenshi.exe to kenshi_steam.exe

Does it have to be in a certain directory for the trainer to detect it?

Please advice.

It seems that you need to copy and then rename the copy version of _core.exe to kenshin_steam.exe for the trainer to work, if you have any other version than the steam one.
Although this sucks, since the kenshin mod manager only recognizes _core.exe as the file to run kenshin with, so I can't run my expanded buildings mod now or any mods until the mod maker, hellhound1 on the kenshin forums allows the mod manager the ability to select which .exe to run the mod(s) with.

Thanks! now that Chris (Developer) has been selling a ton load of his games expect patches more frequent. How does everyone like the game so far? Reminds me of Fist of the North star but no ruken lol and a bit of Star Wars galaxies. So far it inst so bad for a alpha. The modding comunity after its realease should have a great game to work with.

id like it if steam accepted my friggan desura key cuz the trainer wont work with desura:/

It seems I'm having a problem with Trainer. Whenever I download and try to extract/run it, I get errors with WinRar. They're telling me 'Unexpected end of archive' and 'Cannot Execute '. I really don't think it's got anything to do with my Anti-virus or anything. I'm trying to use the Steam version of both the game and trainer. Help? :<

Disable your AV and download the file again.
