So I'm basically getting my ass kicked on the final mission of brutal difficultly, is there a way I could get the achievement using the trainer online? or is it not worth possibly losing my account?

At this point, you have to assume there is some risk involved.

Using any kind of trainer/cheats even in-game cheats will automatically disable achievements.

Using a trainer will more than likely get you banned, but if you want to risk it,that's on you.
    I wouldn't.

Ive got my account banned for using the trainer, not used it in multiplayer but that doesnt seem to matter to blizzard.

You will have to make a new battle.net account and buy an other copy in case you get banned, so thats a high price to pay for an achievement.

My advice is to stick to off-line mode while using the trainer as they will find the trainer, playing campaign or multiplayer recieves equal punisment for using it, perma ban.

I used the trainer for Wings of liberty back when it was still new, luckly just got a warning. Best not to use it now!

Same here. I'm not willing to risk it. I hate that they used to let you cheat openly in this game, now only when mommy says so.

I bet 99% of blizzard employees used to be black hat hackers. Now that they're a corporation, hypocrisy is okay.

Well, blizzard won't be around for long, they used to be pretty cool, but ever since activision came into the picture, they have become more and more about money.

Which is likely why single player trainers and multiplayer cheaters are getting equal treatment, it has nothing to do with 'cheating is bad fullstop' it just means they get us to buy the game again with a new account.

Because in the history of mankind no company has ever been about money, right? Not quite sure what universe some people live in, but it certainly isn't this one. Blizzard has always been about making money. Every company is doing that. That's how reality works.

Blizzard will be around for many more years.

Why single player and multi player cheaters get the same treatment stems simply from the way Starcraft 2 is set up. Plus, it's their policy, you accept it the moment you log into your account.
