Start the trainer and take your hands off the mouse or the keyboard. I don't know if this works for you but my trainers used to crash if I did anything during authentification.

Yep do not do anything when its Authenticating. It only takes a few seconds.

Also the trainer works fine.

I too cannot get it to work; Pressing F1 at the main menu does nothing and pressing the num keys has no effect whatsoever

I'm using steam as well and am on Windows 8.

Thanks for the trainer...

I just hope someone will do an editor so I can fix my mistake in using the lockpick option. I now have like 80+ of it. Kind of too much.

likely you don't have admin priviledges on the trainer

all your problems are likely outlined as one of the things listed in the troubleshooting section
