happily signed. I have always been against "always-on DRM" features like this, and is one reason I don't play Diablo 3.

Although it's good news EA is "looking into" an offline option.
It would be stupid to cry victory so soon. Because I think EA says this to keep hackers and angry gamers in check.
As stated in the article: "There won't be an offline option anytime soon.

Anyone else who agrees with this?

So, Chris, the petition reached 76k and it says another 74k to reach 150k are needed...and then some? How much more does this petition need to have an effect on EA or any other major games company? 150k while the games sell 10 mil or more? that would mean they'd count 1,5 per cent unhappy with DRM. I am just wondering if someone could explain this petition thingie to me, appreciated.

It won't have any effect on EA. They have NO plans to take it offline.
