Prolly backwards compatible. Sony is doing big things and learning from past mistakes. Also needs to be able to work with the Vita. Dont want it to die off like the PSP. Just sayin'
I believe that the PS4 was not able to support backwards compatibility because of the architecture, but that Sony said you would be able to stream games on to play it. It would be unable to support reading the game off of the disk because of the differences between consoles.
Not true the file system on a PS3 and PS4 game are almost the same, therefor the OS on the PS4 could easily be set up to read PS3 binaries and run them.
Sorta like what WINE does for Mac users with PC games.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Great site for new games with constant deals
I was just sharing what I had heard. I will admit, I don't really care for another Internet-Ready BluRay Player that can play games. That's why I never purchased the PS3.
