Well you can start with the largest app store the ios platform and charge a buck for the app(now that the installous is dead people are much more willing to pay) then the sky is the limit, also keep in mind that a well made app wil probably attract numerous new unlimited memberships.

It's all a matter of convenience, you can also access facebook through browser yet no one seem to that and the app is a hit, besides dont forget the push notifications on new posts, trainers or game news could really be great.
