I hate Steam, If I ever buy another steam game shoot me in the stomach so I roll around a bit before I die. We buy a game why is their a Steam in the first place.
I actually really like Steam. Not only does it make managing my games simple, but my games are available to me everywhere I am. All I need to do is install Steam onto any computer, log in, and the I can have access to install any game on my account. The only thing that would be better is if there were a means to log in and have access to my computer's hardware wherever I went. Beyond that they also have some awesome sales a few times a year. What sort of issues are you having with the service anyway?
Note: This topic probably best fits under General Discussions, as Steam is most certainly not limited to the most recent XCOM title.

You should have complained in 2004 when the released it. Oh wait... now I remember. 1 million gamers complained and still they became the #1 distributer. So

like it or not, steam is here to stay, and i really don't get the hate, you get easy acces to your games, anywhere, anytime, and instead of having to buy hard copies which fill up your shelf, you get it in 1 place, online, also 90 % of the older games that i got a hard copy of, i also got on steam, because its simply easier, more support, and easy acces to DLC/Expansions
Ok maybe I should be more specific. The new cheats for X-Com wont work, moreover, the interface with the patched X-com wont work for me the mouse keeps going the the edge of the board. The game worked just fine a couple months ago now the game and the cheats just suck. I am sorry I wish STeam would just go away.
congratulations you are now steam troll five trillion... we get these "i hate steam" so many times its not even surprising. steam is here to stay. have anyone counted how many rants against steam we got yet?
