Okay, so. I think I can answer your question. I got Far Cry 3 for christmas, and a new graphics card, and found out I didn't have enough energy output to run it on full graphics. You may need another power source OR like me your hard drive is on the fritz and has to be replaced. If it keeps happening, go to your local best buy and consult a geeksquad employee.

i've been facing a similar problem while playing Far Cry 3. my system just power's down and reboots. no error message. nothing. and when re-started that same game running on max resolution and settings run's fine for hours.
so i sent my MoBO, Gfx Card, Power Supply, RAM for a checkup and possible replacement. i was told that both the MoBo and Gfx Card were found to be faulty with the same problem of random shutdowns(How the hell can that happen? That wud be a rarity, right?). and promptly replaced. meanwhile my RAM and PSU checked out fine. so get ur hardware checked out...thoroughly.
