    I'm sure I'll switch to 7 before 2014 xD

I'm sure the day you change your windows to 7 and enjoy it's awesomeness, you will regret why you didn't switch earlier.

a few things come to mind.
If you tap your physical power button do you get a 4 second shutdown.
If the answer is no check for more infections. Recommend roguekiller by tigzy. Performing a boot scheduled scan with your current antivirus.

Interesting fact in a clean Microsoft Windows XP environment, Reinstall should be performed every 11 months to keep the OS free Registry issues. its unrealistic for gamers to reinstall that often. my current xp install is over 6 years old. so i understand your situation. Some games just wont run in a Windows 7 environment.
PM me if you need further assistance.
