Feedback, Complaints or Problems

Anyone out there?

Has anyone had any issues win Skyrim and Win 8 Pro. Driver update program indicates that all my drivers are up to date.
The game goes through the motion of loading, but then stops and puts me back in the desktop. I even uninstalled and reinstalled
the game.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

windows 8 isn't really the best choice for gamers right now, it still have some kinks and bugs that need to be worked out. that being said, im sure there is not much you can (or would be willing to) do about it unless you have a copy of windows 7 lying around somewhere.

this could be a problem with windows, but i think it is more likely a problem with steams' compatibility with windows 8.

check to see if steam has any available updates for you, if so, update and try to launch game.

if that failed, close steam and re-open it running it as administrator. launch the game.

if that failed, close steam and re-open it in compatibility mode for windows 7, and run as administrator. launch the game

I have Skyrim and it works fine, with all DLC installed also.

And I am on Windows 8 Enterprise and the game runs for me fine.

Maybe a hardware conflict, or something else you have installed like multiple spyware detection apps (dunno why people persist in using more than one of them at a time).
