i just got the mercenaries world in flames trainer and it says i need to use the number pad for certain codes but i dont have a numberpad i only have the number row up top what should i do to make the trainer work ?

Try using the Trainer Customizer found here: Link

This will enable you to assign different keys to the trainer commands.
